UTC RETAIL is a privately held corporation doing business since 1988, operating out of three facilities in the U.S.: Victor, NY (outside of Rochester), Cleveland, OH, and Scottsdale, AZ.

Personal Development Training
Each employee works individually with their manager to determine the training or development activities necessary to improve or augment appropriate skills and knowledge for their specific career responsibilities at UTC RETAIL.

Participation of Cross Functional Teams
UTC RETAIL recognizes that our success depends on being able to solve customer's problems timely and effectively. Cross-functional teams comprised of individuals from all functional departments execute many of our company's primary projects. Formalized Performance Management System
To maximize an employee's professional performance and growth, the manager and the employee create annual goals and objectives with corresponding deadlines for completion. These goals and objectives are directly tied to UTC RETAIL's Strategic Plan. One-on-One meetings are scheduled on a regular basis when each manager and employee meet to update and review the current status of projects, and discuss any impediments or changes in the objectives. An Annual Performance Review session is conducted between the manager and employee to review the past year's results, discuss ways to improve or make changes, and to create new objectives or programs for the next year.

UTC RETAIL is an extremely dynamic company in an industry experiencing rapid growth. We are currently looking for a Marketing Specialist.

Looking for someone with:

  • Proven ability to develop strong marketing content for company website, marketing materials and campaigns
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, along with the capability to demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, when necessary
  • Strong ability to market to and interact with multiple departments and levels within an organization
  • High-level of personal integrity and business ethics


Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop content and marketing communications materials for the company website, campaigns and other special projects
  • Manage the planning and preparation for company's participation in the annual National Retail Federation conference, including the coordination of all activities required to setup and take down company’s trade show booth
  • Conduct analysis on website traffic and develop strategy for follow-up with any site visitors, including cold calling prospective customers, as needed
  • Qualify prospects to determine if they meet the criteria to be engaged by a sales manager
  • Assist with scheduling of meetings with retailers and other industry professionals for any industry or trade show events that UTC RETAIL attends
  • Work with SalesForce.com to log all business development and marketing activity
  • Any other tasks deemed within the scope of the job, as determined by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing


Position is based in UTC RETAIL’s corporate headquarters in Victor, NY. Position will also require limited travel for sales meetings and various industry events.


Minimum job qualifications for this position include:

  • Prior marketing, business development or sales experience
  • Also prior experience in working with retail operations and/or point-of-sale solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Some experience with SalesForce desired
  • College degree preferred
