Ultimate Technology Systems Products to Offer Microsoft Windows Embedded for Point of Service Software Platform
Victor, NY - May 24, 2005: Ultimate Technology Corporation, a leading provider of open system Point-of-Service (POS) hardware solutions and services, today announced support for the Microsoft Windows Embedded for Point of Service software platform on all Ultimate Technology POS systems products. Windows Embedded for Point of Service is now available on Ultimate's 2800 Series Integrated POS Systems, UltimaTouch 1800 Series POS Touch Workstations and UltimaNet POS Systems. Ultimate Technology will also be offering device drivers that are Windows Embedded for Point of Service compliant for all Ultimate Technology POS customer pole displays and POS programmable keyboards.Windows Embedded for Point of Service is a standard software platform for retail applications that features easy integration of peripherals through plug-and-play capabilities and simplifies the setup, deployment and management of systems. It will also enable retailers to provide enhanced security and network protection to reduce overall life cycle costs with the solution.
