Horizon Travel Plazas Selects UltimaTouch™ 1800 Touch Workstation for Business Expansion

September 1, 2005 - Horizon Travel Plazas, an operator of convenience and travel plazas located in the Southeast United States, has selected Ultimate Technology�s UltimaTouch � 1800 Series POS Touch Workstation as their POS solution. In addition to the 1800, Horizon will be purchasing a 3-year Hot Swap Replacement service program from Ultimate Technology for all their systems.

Horizon found the 1800 to be a durable all-in-one workstation that could handle the stress of a 24 hour / day convenience store environment. They also found the spill resistant case that protects the workstation's internal electronics to be ideal for the constant use at their convenience counters. The touch accuracy and brightness of the 15� touchscreen was also determined to be very appealing, making the system easy to use for their employees.

The 3-year Hot Swap Replacement service program protects Horizon in the rare case of a system failure. If a customer experiences an equipment failure, a replacement is shipped for next-day delivery. The defective unit is �swapped out� and returned to Ultimate Technology where it is repaired and placed into customer specific inventory for future use. Horizon will be up and running the next day.

Installations of the 1800 have begun at Horizon Travel Plazas and an Application Engineer from Ultimate Technology has been assigned to support their business operations. Over the next five years Horizon plans to expand their business locations to nearly seventy-five plazas.
