NOW Available: 2850 and 2870 Models of Successful 2800 Series Point-of-Service Solution

Rochester, January 9, 2007 - Ultimate Technology Corporation, a leading provider of open system point-of-service (POS) hardware solutions and services, announced today the availability of the two new models of the highly successful 2800 integrated POS series. The 2850 and 2870 integrated POS systems are designed with higher speed electronics to better handle the demands retailers require at the POS. The new models also incorporate features such as RAID technology and dual removable hard drives that improve product uptime so that retailers enjoy reduced ongoing maintenance costs from their store operations. The latest in the 2800 series is designed using Intel® long-life, embedded chip sets to maintain stable version control. Both models are currently being evaluated by retailers.

The new 2850 and 2870 will be displayed in Ultimate Technology’s Booth #445, during NRF 96TH Annual Convention & EXPO, January 15-16, 2007 at Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York City.

The 2800 series offers a number of different configurations to fit unique retail environments. The unit is available with up to a 3.4 GHz Intel® Pentium® 4 processor, a 15” or 17” touch screen LCD monitor and an easy access, front USB port for support. Available options include dual removable hard drives, RAID functionality and a DVD media drive.
