The HoneyBaked Ham Company of Michigan finds Advantage in One-Stop Shop Solutions from UTC RETAIL

Rochester, NY, November 6, 2008– UTC RETAIL™, a leading provider of retail management solutions including software, hardware and professional services, has announced that The HoneyBaked Ham Company of Michigan has chosen their 1870 Series touch screen workstations and maintenance services for their POS upgrade project. The chain wide implementation in approximately 50 stores will utilize the 1870 Series Workstation as a POS register and as a Back Office administration station. Having the same workstations at both the Point of Sale and Back Office provides Honey Baked Hams the flexibility to add a register during peak season and also have a spare unit in the unlikely event a register unit fails. All systems will be staged, configured and tested by UTC RETAIL to ensure that the 1870 Series workstations are delivered to the stores ready to "plug and play" streamlining the installation process.

A successful pilot for this program was installed in the third quarter of 2008. The rollout is expected to begin in 2009 and to be completed by early 2010. Maintenance services consist of a hot swap program during six peak season months and standard depot services for the balance of the year.
