Darice Corporation Selects UTC RETAIL's™ 2870 Series
Rochester, January 8, 2009 - UTC RETAIL™, a leading provider of retail management solutions including software, hardware and professional services, announced that Darice Corporation, Strongsville, OH, has selected UTC RETAIL for a chain-wide technology refresh. Darice currently uses UTC RETAIL's 2845 Series POS workstations and will be deploying their 2870 Series for this technology upgrade in all of their retail stores. Darice is a manufacturer and distributor of craft supplies operating 24 retail stores under the name of Pat Catan, Craft 2000, and Prism and has been a customer of UTC RETAIL since 2004.The current project involves staging, integration and installation of approximately 240 UTC RETAIL 2870 Series fully integrated POS hardware systems. Darice Corporation is renewing its Hot Swap Maintenance program with UTC RETAIL as well. Pilot installations will occur in January and February of 2009 with the chain wide rollout planned to be completed by the end of May.
