UTC RETAIL Provides See’s Candies with chainwide Hardware Systems Refresh
Rochester, NY, January 6, 2020: UTC RETAIL, a full-service provider of store solutions to the specialty retail marketplace, including software, hardware and professional services, successfully completed a chainwide Point-Of-Sale hardware refresh project for See’s Candies that included over 1000 POS register devices for 230 permanent retail locations and an addition 150 temporary holiday stores.
See’s Candies engaged UTC RETAIL to execute a complete refresh of their POS solution to support EMV payments, upgrade dated operating systems, as well as update their POS software and hardware applications. UTC RETAIL hardware staging services included loading software, configuring POS terminals and peripheral devices for each store by lane, connecting devices to a store specific network for site specific setup, and validation testing to confirm multiple transaction sets to support EMV readiness and functionality. UTC RETAIL also provided POS system kitting, as well as direct and indirect shipping for all sites. The entire upgrade project was completed in less than 60 days. Ultimately, UTC RETAIL managed a large-scale multi-vendor value-added project to create a single seamless solution for each See’s store location.
